The Modbury Hospital Redevelopment Project was a staged upgrade and expansion of the existing facility, including upgraded Administration, Palliative Care Unit, Out Patients, Short Stay General Medical, Medical Surgical Units and Infrastructure items.

A separate roof top AHU plantroom serving the 4 new operating theatres and 2 procedure rooms along with the OPD extension was a significantly complex portion of the works, but was a true success story, being able to handover a defect free project to the client on time.

The challenge was working in and around a functioning hospital, maintaining existing areas while upgrading and expanding other areas without impacting staff and patients. A truly collaborative approach with all trades and the managing contractor Built Environs was critical in delivering the quality outcome that was achieved.

A significant part of the success of this project was the excellent supporting subcontract trades of IMPS, DStal Electrical, MAAS Enterprises and Johnson Controls.
