We’re proud to have contributed to the delivery of the new Adelaide Aquatic Centre, a landmark recreation facility designed to support health, wellbeing, and community connection for generations to come. This state-of-the-art development brings world-class aquatic and leisure amenities to South Australia, setting a new benchmark for modern, high-performance facilities.

Our team delivered mechanical services across the entire facility, with a package valued at approximately $11 million. The scope included advanced systems designed to ensure efficiency, reliability, and occupant comfort throughout all areas of the centre:

• Installation of a combination of water-source and air-source heat pumps, providing a reliable and resilient system with built-in redundancy.

• Large water-source heat pump units supplying heating to all pools, along with over 2,000m² of underfloor heating.

• Multiple outdoor plant rooms housing major air handling equipment for full facility climate control.

• Air distribution delivered through a combination of Ductsox systems, pool conditioning diffusers, and architectural swirl and linear diffusers.

• A fully integrated Building Management System enabling real-time monitoring, fault detection, and efficient system operation.

To support the successful delivery of this unique project, we utilised offsite prefabrication for critical plantroom components and modular pipework. This approach improved construction efficiency, reduced onsite complexity, and ensured a high level of quality and coordination, contributing to the project’s successful and timely completion.
